Il dottor C. Michael Smith, Ph.D., è da oltre 40 anni attivo come psicologo clinico e psicoanalista junghiano. Diplomatosi all’Università di Chicago e al C.G. Jung Institute di Chicago, il dottor Smith è stato inoltre iniziato alle tradizioni degli uomini di medicina Cherokee e Attis Quechua, e da sette anni lavora con il curanderismo amazzonico e le piante di medicina. Insegna in Europa da un decennio ed è membro del Cercle de Sagesse Ancestral de l’Union Ancestral e del Collège de Chamanisme a Parigi, in Francia. È direttore dei Crows Nest Centers for Shamanic Studies International, comunità dedite all’apprendimento dello psico-sciamanesimo in Francia, Belgio, Sudafrica e Stati Uniti e conduce seminari nell’Amazzonia peruviana e a Xoxocotla, Messico. È stato ospite come docente di True Sounds, The Shift Network, e nel 2018 ha tenuto un seminario di Psicologia clinica e umanistica presso la Saybrook University negli Stati Uniti. Insegnerà e dirigerà un seminario a Bosio (Asti - Piemonte), Italia, 4-6 ottobre 2019.

C. Michael Smith, Ph.D is an active clinical and Jungian psychologist in private practice for over 40 years, and is author of
Jung and Shamanism in Dialogue,
Psychotherapy and the Sacred, and co-author a numerous other books. Educated at the University of Chicago and the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago, Dr. Smith was also shamanically initiated into the Cherokee and Attis Quechua medicine traditions, and for 7 years has been working in the Amazonian Curanderismo with plant medicines. He has worked in Europe for a decade and is a teaching member of the
Cercle de Sagesse Ancestral de L’Union Ancestrales and of the
Le Collège de Chamanisme Ancestral, in Paris, France. As director of Crows Nest Centers for Shamanic Studies International, with psychoshamanic teaching-learning communities in France, Belgium, South Africa, USA, and with special seminars in the Peruvian Amazon, and Xoxocotla, Mexico. He has appeared as a guest teacher for Sounds True, The Shift Network, and was the 2018 keynote lecturer in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology at Saybrook University in the USA.
